हृदय एक मांसपेशीय और अधिकांश जानवरों में पाया जाने वाला सबसे महत्वपूर्ण अंग है।

मानव शरीर में एकमात्र अंग जो मायोजेनिक है, वह हृदय है।

आपके हृदय में 4 कक्ष होते हैं। ऊपरी कक्षों को बायाँ और दायाँ आलिंद कहा जाता है, और निचले कक्षों को बायाँ और दायाँ निलय कहा जाता है। मांसपेशियों की एक दीवार जिसे सेप्टम कहा जाता है
POSITIONING OF HEART : 

हृदय उरोस्थि (ब्रेस्टबोन) के थोड़ा पीछे और बाईं ओर स्थित होता है, जो छाती के बीच में होता है। यह शरीर के थोड़ा बाईं ओर होता है। यह दाएं और बाएं फेफड़े के बीच में स्थित होता है।
GENERAL SIZE AND WEIGHT OF HEART :

मानव हृदय का वजन लगभग 250-300 ग्राम होता है, जो एक मुर्गे के अंडे के बराबर होता है।
मानव हृदय का आकार लगभग 12 सेमी लंबा और 8 सेमी चौड़ा होता है, जो एक मुठ्ठी के आकार के बराबर होता है।
